Finally, music is about itself alone. Finally, humans are about themselves alone. We appear to have evolved as musical beings. We respond to sequences. The smallest infant understands it and reacts to it. Our emotions are bound to it. Lento is music that is about itself, and so is about us. Each one of us will listen and feel something that only we each know, and it is the honesty in the way this music creates itself in us that makes us respond more deeply. Some human creations make us all pause in our lives. Lento is one of those creations. There is a reason it is loved.

Thanks for your comment, and sorry for the oversight! Because of the number of composers and artists on the disc we didn't have room to add their names on the front cover, but we've now added the names of Endymion's musicians (in the Description section) and the instrumentation of the pieces in the tracklisting.

Why is there no information on this page about the instrumentation of the pieces and who is playing? 130 words on the conductor, but nothing at all on the individual pieces. It makes it hard to decide to buy the CD – too much of a pig (or is it a hidden jewel?) in a poke. Not even any names on the front cover of the CD. The Martin Butler solo piece, played by Stephen Stirling is the only one we can glean anything about at all. Very frustrating!! Oh well . . .
