NMC'S ARTISTIC POLICY

NMC Recordings exists to record the work of living composers from the British Isles. NMC champions a wide-ranging and inclusive repertoire and through collaboration with other music and arts organisations seeks to reach the widest possible audience. Quality is central to NMC's mission and we represent the highest standards of British musical work within the means available to us.

OUR ARTISTIC PANEL

NMC's Artistic Panel is drawn from leading composers, artists, curators, writers and other specialists in contemporary music as well as NMC's Executive Producer Colin Matthews, and Executive Director Anne Rushton. Members of the Panel meet 3 times a year to review the recording proposals sent to NMC, and to guide and inform the artistic choices of the label.

PROPOSAL DEADLINES

NMC is not currently actively seeking admissions as we have planned our schedules to 2016/17.  However, if you would like to submit a project idea to us please email our Executive Director, Anne Rushton:  anne@nmcrec.co.uk with the following information:

  • Details of the proposed project (composers, works, artists etc)
  • Reasons why it's a particularly timely project suitable to NMC and details of budget and any available funding.
  • Please also send us a link to sample tracks via an online source such as SoundCloud or YouTube.

We will contact you if we require further information, scores, demo CDs, etc.
