Naomi Pinnock

Naomi Pinnock was born in 1979 and grew up in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. She studied at King’s College, London with Harrison Birtwistle and subsequently gained a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music with Brian Elias. Her studies were recently completed with Wolfgang Rihm at the Hochschule für Musik, Karlsruhe. She has also taken part in courses and workshops with, amongst others, Brian Ferneyhough, Michael Jarrell, Olga Neuwirth and Beat Furrer.

Amongst others, Pinnock has received commissions and performances from the Musica Festival, Spitalfields Festival, Heidelberger Frühling Festival, Festival les Musiques in Marseille, Bmic Cutting Edge, London Sinfonietta, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Les Percussions de Strasbourg, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, Ensemble Linea, Rambert Dance Company, Endymion, Pierre-André Valade, Jurjen Hempel and Rolf Hind. Her work has been performed throughout the UK and Europe, and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Bayern 2 Radio.
