A recital of pieces written for, and by composers associated with, clarinettist Andrew Sparling: Diana Burrell's quintet Double Image; Chris Sansom's theatrical Music From the Heart of a Dog, for bass clarinet and pre-recorded track; and works featuring clarinet by Michael Finnissy, Roger Redgate, Howard Skempton, Michael Parsons, Timothy Salter, Gabriel Jackson and Nick Hayes, and including Laurence Crane's duo for clarinet and guitar, Sparling.

REVIEWS

"This disc shows off the clarinet-playing and unusual musical tastes of a familiar figure on the contemporary scene ... The stylistic range is from the jazziness of Nick Hayes' Tongue-Dog to the modernism of Roger Redgate's +R and Michael Finnissy's folkish Uzundara."
The Sunday Times 2004
