Objects at an Exhibition

Annual Appeal (Big Give Christmas Challenge)

Please help NMBig GiveC Recordings, Aurora Orchestra and the Science Museum in our quest to increase audiences for new music, create some amazing new works inspired by the Museum’s renowned collections and spaces, perform these imaginatively with Aurora at the Museum, and enable 200 secondary school students with limited access to the arts to explore science topics through composition.

10am

December 4-6NMC is celebrating its 25th anniversary by collaborating with the Science Museum London and Aurora Orchestra to deliver six commissions inspired by objects/galleries at the Museum. Our total project cost is £148,000 and we've already raised a large chunk of this thanks to support from trusts and foundations. We need you to help us reach our Appeal target of £10,000 and match funding is on offer.

We've hooked up with The Big Give Christmas Challenge, which offers match funding for donations made online. Your contribution can help turn our £10,000 target into £20,000 via our secured pledge funding and Big Give matching so please donate online at 10am on 04/05/06 December to help us enable our ambitious project and secure the maximum amount of match funding we can. Match funds are limited and run out early so please donate at 10am on these days. You can Gift Aid your donation too. Thank you.

In return for your investment in our Objects at an Exhibition project we can offer you:

  • Credit on our website page for Objects at an Exhibition
  • Regular project updates by email
  • Advance notice to purchase the Objects at an Exhibition album featuring the six commissions
  • 20% discount on the album release
  • Free copy of the album to donors over £150
  • CD booklet credit and premiere event ticket for donors over £500

NMC is grateful to the PRS for Music Foundation and the Britten-Pears Foundation for support in commissioning these works. For further details please contact Helen Hughes at development@nmcrec.co.uk. Thank you for supporting Objects at an Exhibition.
