In December 2014, we took part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge. With a pledge from The Boltini Trust we have so far raised over £13,000 towards our Objects at an Exhibition collaboration with the Science Museum London and Aurora Orchestra to increase audiences for new music, create some amazing new works inspired by the Museum’s renowned collections and spaces, perform these imaginatively with Aurora at the Museum, and enable 200 secondary school students with limited access to the arts to explore science topics through composition. This is in addition to the investment the partners are making in the collaboration and the support of several trusts and foundations. We are commissioning work from Christopher Mayo, Thea Musgrave, Claudia Molitor, David Sawer, Barry Guy and Gerald Barry and hoping (subject to funding) to enable a seventh live sound installation commission for the premiere events in early October at the Museum. The Challenge is now closed but we continue to fundraise for Objects, which takes place Autumn 2015. If you would like to make a donation we can offer in return:
- Credit on our website page for Objects at an Exhibition
- Regular project updates by email
- Advance notice to purchase the Objects at an Exhibition album featuring the six commissions
- 20% discount on the album release
- Free copy of the album to donors over £150
- CD booklet credit and premiere event ticket for donors over £500

Thank you to the generous donors who enabled NMC to release three landmark operas as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations. Please visit http://www.nmcrec.co.uk/nmc25-celebrate/anniversary-opera-releases for more details.
NMC's first annual appeal - again working with The Big Give to secure match funding - helped to ensure a brand new series of releases giving younger/emerging composers the chance to have their first dedicated portrait release on the NMC label. Debut Discs is now an established part of our recording schedule and NMC's commitment to supporting emerging British composers in their professional development, profile building and audience development. Thank you for supporting NMC Recordings.
