More about us:
Anne Rushton is Executive Director and is responsible for leading NMC in developing and implementing our vision, mission and strategic direction. She oversees the delivery of all aspects of NMC’s activities. Loves developing new projects and forging new partnerships; less fond of spreadsheets.
Outside NMC and her family, Anne’s interests include playing violin in the Essex Symphony Orchestra, being a school governor, growing vegetables and supporting Liverpool Football Club with enthusiasm and hope!
Eleanor (Ellie) Wilson is NMC's General Manager, overseeing the day to day management of the label and leading on Production, Sales, Marketing and Artistic. Loves hearing new recordings for the first time, analysing sales/marketing stats, and is a big fan of Adobe software. Hates the time sink that is email!
Born in East London, Ellie is violinist in folk band and 4-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominees, Stick In The Wheel and a radio show host for The Nest Collective Hour (Resonance 104.4FM). She is currently working on her debut solo album of works for violin and electronics.
Alex Wright is responsible for NMC’s fundraising, looking after relationships with trusts, public bodies, and individuals. He also oversees the organisation’s Education projects, bringing its ever expanding catalogue of recordings to new audiences.
Graduating with a music degree from the University of Sheffield in 2011, he has previously worked for BCMG and Northern Ballet. An avid contemporary music fan, erstwhile composer and lapsed pianist, Alex has a particular love of music with electronics.
Rachel Wilmot is the Label Assistant, providing general assistance to Ellie and Anne with Sales, Marketing and Recording. This is her first job in the industry after graduating from University of Liverpool with a degree in Communications and Popular Music. Loves planning recording sessions/album launches and hates processing royalties.
Rachel’s musical prowess extends to out-of-tune karaoke and playing ‘Hot Cross Buns’ on recorder. She spends her weekends exploring East London and visiting art galleries.
