Orkest de Ereprijs
Orkest de Ereprijs play contemporary music especially composed for them, and undertake projects exploring different disciplines, resulting in programmes which combine music with dance, sculpture, cinema, theatre and architecture. Their repertoire includes works by composers of many nationalities, resulting in invitations to festivals and theatres abroad. By changing the structure of the ensemble – working with invited soloists, additional instrumentalists or singers, or using electronic means – their stage presentation and sound can be radically altered from a classical chamber orchestra, to a pop group, to an electronic studio.
The ensemble is based in Apeldoorn, in the Netherlands, where it organises the annual International Young Composers Meeting, in association with the International Gaudeamus Music Week.
