Jordan Hunt studied composition at the RNCM with David Horne, and the RAM with Simon Bainbridge. His music and collaborations have been performed throughout the UK at major venues and festivals including the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, King’s Place, Aldeburgh Festival, Spitalfields Festival, Snape Maltings, Bridgewater Hall, Royal Academy of Art, Royal College of Art, Royal Opera House, and on BBC Radio 3 and 4




Recent commissions include a song for The NMC Songbook, recorded by Claire Booth and Andrew Ball, a chamber opera for Tête à Tête Opera Festival and a work for saxophone, violin and CD, to be recorded by saxophonist Meriel Price. He has completed his time on the 2005-8 spnm shortlist for his piece Twine, and The Centre Cannot Hold.... has been included in the 2005 COMA Open Score Collection, to be published and recorded. In the long term, he is working on an opera with acclaimed actress and librettist Fiona Shaw.

He is violinist in cult performance orchestra The Irrepressibles (Universal); he was a founding member of the London Sinfonietta Culture Collective, a group of young artists, collaborating to curate events and create work with the London Sinfonietta, and is part of The Centre of the Universe, a nomadic art space that curates exhibitions, performances and community-based projects.
