Founded in 1993, ensemble Intégrales has earned itself a special reputation in the contemporary music scene placing special emphasis on dramaturgic profile and concept. 'With commitment and zest...The vitality of both playing and writing augurs well for the future of contemporary music.’ expressed the Irish Times, following a concert of the ensemble in Belfast.
In addition to interdisciplinary projects and a focus on young composers, their explicit interest in non-European cultures represents a further important part of their work. Since their foundation, the ensemble has built an excellent international reputation for their performances of new chamber music works. The enormous scope of their repertoire is documented in various radio, CD and TV recordings.
Performing throughout Europe, the USA and Asia, ensemble Intégrales has also been invited by renowned festivals including the Berliner Festwochen, Gaudeamus Festival, Bregenzer Festspiele, Wien Modern, Bludenzer Tage für zeitgemässe Musik, Fadjr -Festival (Iran), Bodenseefestival, Schleswig Holstein Festival and many others.
The concerts of ensemble Intégrales reflect the diversity, playfulness and beauty unique to contemporary music. The relaxed, undogmatic attitude of the ensemble, their enormous stylistic variety, and virtuosity and last but not least, their joy in performing is immediately communicated to the audience.
The exciting and versatile programs of ensemble Intégrales, which also include interaction with other art forms, are extremely well received and are even able to reach out to an audience, which might usually be sceptical towards the standard ways of presenting so-called ‚serious’ music.
