This New Music Biennial Subscription features recordings of at least 16 pieces* performed at the New Music Biennial events in London and Hull in 2017. These works – by composers Laurence Crane, Jennifer Walshe, Anna Meredith, Gavin Bryars and others – will be released over the coming weeks and added to your bundle accordingly.

New Music Biennial showcases composers and music creators who are pushing the boundaries of new music in the UK. It builds on the successes of the New Music Biennial 2014 and the Cultural Olympiad programme, New Music 20×12, which were both released on NMC.

The festival is presented in association with the PRS for Music Foundation and features music across all genres, from classical and chamber opera to jazz, folk and electronic.

*Subject to contract. These pieces are being recorded live by BBC Radio 3 and we plan to release them throughout July/August/September 2017. If we are unable to deliver the stated amount of releases listed then a replacement or partial refund will be issued.

New Music Biennial 2017 is a PRS Foundation initiative, presented in partnership with Hull City of Culture, Southbank Centre, BBC Radio 3 and NMC Recordings. As part of the official Hull UK City of Culture 2017 programme, New Music Biennial will showcase the talent of the UK’s music sector, raise the profile of composers and performers, and present a snapshot of new music across all genres.
