Our new website is officially launched
25 March 2010

On Wednesday 24 March we celebrated the official launch of our new website and Music Map with an event in the beautiful Model Room at London's Somerset House. We were delighted that so many of our composers, along with publishers and other industry friends, were able to join us and they were all extremely complimentary about our new site, especially the Music Map.

We projected the website on to a large 6ft x 8ft screen and everyone enjoyed having a play: composers curious about  the links we had given them on the Music Map and amused at seeing the larger-than-life photos of themselves on the huge screen.

NMC's Executive Producer Colin Matthews thanked our web developers Avco (www.avco.com) for creating such a wonderful site and understanding our vision and demands; our digital store provider State 51 (www.state51.co.uk) for making the audio extracts available; and the private funders who made this all possible.

Here's what people have been saying about the Music Map so far ....

'It'll provide hours of amusement' Guardian

'A cool new gadget' Gramophone

'Clever, original and fun' BBC Music Magazine

Music Map ought to be good news for all the composers, publishers and friends from the music industry! Sincerely, Freddy.
