Sun Keting

Sun Keting (b. 1993) is a London-based China-born composer, researcher, creative director and artist. Her composition works focus on performing arts and instrumental sound exploration, combining Eastern cultural, spiritual and philosophical elements.

Her music has been described as “the future way to go” (Independent) and “very attractive for its
harmonic imagination, mastery of instrumentation” (Bachtrack). Keting’s music has been performed in the UK, US, Europe and Asia. She has composed music for the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Singers, Ligeti Quartet, Psappha Ensemble, Riot Ensemble, The Silk Road Ensemble, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, and the National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan.

Her music has beenfeatured in many venues and festivals worldwide, including the Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, Helsinki Concert Hall, Tête-à-tête Festival and National Concert Hall Dublin. She was awarded a place as a composer on the Britten Pears
Young Artist 2022-23.

Keting graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (BA) and the Royal Academy of Music (MMus) and is completing a doctorate at the Royal Academy of Music.
