Keith Marley

Keith Marley is a documentary filmmaker who focuses on experimental films and particularly the creative use of sound and music. He is lecturer in Film Studies and Documentary Filmmaker at Liverpool John Moores University. His particular interests are in 'City Symphony' documentary filmmakers, namely Jean Vigo, Dziga Vertov, Walter Ruttman, Joris Ivens and Alberto Cavalcanti. In November 2017 he received his PhD: 'The Art of Fact: An exploration of the relationship between theory and practice in documentary filmmaking'.
