Films NMC Recordings

Ahead of the release of his new album La terra impareggiabile, we asked composer Richard Causton some questions about how it feels to finally be sharing music he begin writing 26 years ago, his connections with Italy, and how the poetry of Salvatore Quasimodo played a crucial role in inspiring him to compose.

Richard Causton's second full-length album is due for release 28 October, and features stunning performances from the baritone Marcus Farnsworth, Huw Watkins (piano), and the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sakari Oramo, bringing together two major works from different areas of Causton's compositional output.
