Following on last year’s 10th-anniversary celebrations of Diaphonique, the Franco-British fund for contemporary music, and part of the ongoing strands Women Shaping the World and The Earth Here And Now, Institut français presents a live-streamed panel discussion that draws a panorama of women composers in classical and contemporary music.

Diaphonique laureates, composers Tansy DaviesLaura BowlerJamie Man and Clémentine March will talk about their careers and the inspiration behind their recent commissioned work with Susanna Eastburn (chief executive, Sound & Music). They will be joined by filmmaker Lisa Rovner, whose documentary Sisters with Transistors: Electronic Music’s Unsung Heroines tells the story of female pioneers of electronic music.
