NMC is grateful to have long-standing support from Arts Council England as a National Portfolio Organisation, receiving £50,000 per year. We also seek the support of charitable trusts and foundations for core operating costs and towards specific projects - such as individual recordings or our work with young people.

With the help of more than 60 grant-making bodies, in the last five years we have been able to expand our international reach enormously, promoting our catalogue of over 300 recordings containing music by 500 composers in 150 countries worldwide, receiving more than 3 million downloads and streams every year. In addition, support from trusts and foundations has been key to launching and developing our education resources, to inspire an interest in and appreciation of new music in future generations.
